Third(ish) Time’s the Charm

I have triplets. They are almost 11 years old. The cool thing about having triplets is that they are all, generally, going through the same things at the same time. They have someone that they can talk to. They have someone to relate to. That’s unique. The bad thing about having triplets is that they are all growing at about the same rate. When one of them outgrows something, that means that they are ALL outgrowing something. This is the case with their bicycles. We recently had to get THREE NEW BICYCLES for these people.

I’m pretty handy with most common tools. The house we live in is over 105 years old, so with that experience, I’ve become familiar with building, plumbing, and repairing…very…familiar. I’m like Bob Villa with less of a ‘fro…or Chip Gaines with less TV show…

I had to build these bikes. They came to us in boxes. It’s pretty difficult to ride a bike in a box, so we decided to put them together. I built Kaitlyn’s first. It came together pretty easily…but there were issues…I didn’t discover the issues with Kaitlyn’s bike, until I built Bella’s…and by the time I got to Crawford’s, I was a bike expert…like Lance Armstrong without the blood-doping scandal.

The more I worked, the better I got. I had to go back and make some adjustments on Kaitlyn’s bike, because it was the first one. I kept on going.

Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap is we do not grow weary.”

You may be tired right now. You may be frustrated. You may be upset that you don’t know what you are doing. That’s ok.

Keep going.

You are doing good work. God is with you. He has not given up on you. YOU don’t give up on you, ok?
